Itinerary:

Day 1

We will drive through the Khomas Hochland via the Spreedtshoogte pass to Solitaire. Lunch en-route. Overnight at Little Sossus Lodge, arriving late afternoon.

Day 2

After an early morning breakfast, we will visit Sossusvlei, Dune 45 and Dead Vlei, returning in time for lunch at Sossusvlei Lodge. Late afternoon, we will visit the Sesriem canyon for a sundowner before returning to Little Sossus Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 

After breakfast we will depart for Swakopmund via the Naukluft Park crossing the Tropic of Capricorn. Arrive in Walvisbay in time for lunch. After lunch, we will depart to Swakopmund about 40 km north. On the way, we will visit the Welwitschia mirabilis and the Moonlandscape. Overnight at Guesthouse Fischreiher. Dine at one of the local restaurants.

Day 4

After breakfast we will leave the Skeleton Coast and drive in a north western direction to Damaraland via Uis, near the Brandberg, which is the highest mountain in Namibia, known for it’s spectacular sunset and sunrises. We will visit the petrified forest and the famous bushman paintings. This is also the place where the desert elephant roam. Overnight at Xaragu Camp. 

Day 5

After breakfast we will drive to Kamanjab, where we will visit the Himba people, a nomadic tribe of Herero origin that still lives and dresses according to ancient traditions and customs. A visit to a typical Himba kraal. Dinner and overnight at the Kamanjab Himba community camp.

Day 6

After breakfast, we will depart for Etosha National Park, (one of the largest in Africa), arriving late afternoon. All the camps in the park have waterholes where animals like the Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Giraffe and Oryx to name a few come to drink. All waterholes have floodlights for animal viewing at night.

Day 7

After breakfast we will do a game drive in the park. Game drive of the day will be approximately 120 km. Lunch at one of the camps. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Day 8

Today, after breakfast, we will do another game drive in the morning and again one in the afternoon. Rest of day at leisure. Overnight in the park.

Day 9

After breakfast, we will depart for Windhoek, through the towns of Tsumeb and Otjiwarongo. On the way will stop at the Otjikoto lake. Lunch en-route. Arrive in Windhoek late afternoon.
