Itinerary:

Day 1 

We will drive in a north westernly direction through Okahandja, Otjiwarongo, Outjo and Khorixas. Lunch will be en-route. On our way, we will visit the petrified forest and famous rock paintings. We will overnight at Camp Xaragu, arriving late afternoon.

Day 2 

After an early morning breakfast, we will depart for Kamanjab, home to the Himba people, a nomadic tribe from Herero origin who still lives and dresses according to ancient traditions and customs. Dinner and overnight at the Himba community camp.

Day 3 

After breakfast, we will depart for Etosha National Park (one of the largest in Africa), arriving at Halali Camp in the afternoon. Lunch will be en-route. Game drive in the afternoon.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will do a game drive. All the camps in the park have waterholes where animals like the Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Giraffe, Oryx to name a few come to drink. All the waterholes have floodlights for animal viewing at night. Overnight at Halali Camp.

Day 5

After breakfast we will drive in a north easternly direction to Rundu through the towns of Tsumeb and Grootfontein. Arriving in Rundu late afternoon, overnight at Omashare Lodge.

Day 6

After breakfast, we will drive to Katima Mulilo. The Kavango region is known for it’s game viewing and bird watching. Dinner and overnight at Mahangu Safari Lodge.

Day 7 

After an early morning breakfast, we will depart for the Zambezi River lodge where we will overnight. Crocodile and hippo spotting on the Zambezi river makes this the ideal place to stay. 

Day 8

After breakfast, we will explore the town of Catima Mulilo and visit some local craft markets. Overnight at Zambezi lodge.

Day 9 

After breakfast, we will depart for Rundu to once again overnight at Omashare Lodge. Arriving in the afternoon.

Day 10

After breakfast, we will drive in a southernly direction through the towns of Grootfontein and Otavi to overnight in Otjiwarongo at C’est Si Bon Lodge. On our way, we will visit the Cheetha Conservation fund to experience the extensive work being done to protect these wonderful animals. 

Day 11

After breakfast, depart for Windhoek, on our way visit the woodcarvers market in Okahandja. Arriving in Windhoek in the afternoon.
