Itinerary

Day 1

Guests will be met by a representative of Foxtrot at the International Airport and transferred to their hotel. (Kalahari Sands Hotel & Casino) If time permits a city and suburb tour can be done, shopping or time at leisure. Dinner at one of the famous restaurants.

Day 2

After breakfast we will depart to Mokuti Lodge, just outside the Etosha National Park, driving through the towns of Okahandja, where a local woodcarvers market will be visited. Lunch in Tsumeb. Arriving at Mokuti Lodge early afternoon. We will do a short game drive before checking in. Dinner and overnight at Mokuti Lodge.

Day 3

After breakfast we will enter the National Park for a Game drive. Lunch will be at one of the camps in the Park. During the game drive we will visit various waterholes were elephant, rhino, lion, giraffe and various other antelope can be seen. We will return to the lodge late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mokuti Lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast we will drive through the park to the town of Outjo in a westerly direction to Damara Land. Overnight at Twyfelfontein Lodge. On the way we will visit the Petrified Forest. Dinner and overnight at Twyfelfontein Country Lodge.

Day 5

After breakfast we will visit the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein (some over 2500 years old, engraved by the San people or better known as the Bushmen). The Twyfelfontein area were part of our family farm untill the early 60s. We will visit the Burnt Mountain (volcanic mountain of yesteryear, organ pipes and the Welwitschia Mirabilis fossil plant. We will then drive in a south westerly direction to the town of Uis, which was once the largest Tin mine in the world. Lunch in Uis. After lunch we will proceed west to the skeleton coast driving through the town of Henties bay. Dinner and overnight in Swakopmund at the Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre.

Day 6

After breakfast guests will have the opportunity to spend time at leisure to explore this popular coastal town. Other activities are scenic flights over the skeleton coast, boat cruise with oysters and champagne to observe the dolphins and friendly seals or quad biking in the Namib Desert. Dinner and overnight at Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre.

Day 7

After breakfast we will depart for Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert, driving through Walvisbay, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn and Solitaire. We will have lunch at Solitaire – according to most people, “the best apfel strudel in Namibia”. Arriving at Sossusvlei Lodge early afternoon. Guests will have time at leisure. Late afternoon we will visit the Sesriem Canyon for a sundowner. Dinner and overnight at Sossusvlei Lodge.

Day 8

After early morning coffee we will depart for Dead vlei, Sossusvlei and Dune 45. Picnic breakfast at Sossusvlei. Lunch at Sossusvlei Lodge where after we will depart for Windhoek, driving through the Khomas Hochland and Spreets Hoogte Pass. Arriving in Windhoek late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the Windhoek Country Club.

Day 9

Guests will be transferred to the International Airport for departure.
