Guests will be met at the Windhoek international Airport and transferred to Waterberg Plato Park camp site through the town of Okahandja, Includes a visit to the woodcarvers market. Dinner and overnight in the park, lodging or Camping. Game drives available at the park.
After breakfast we will depart for Kamanjab on the way you will visit Pass through Outju where you may visit a museum. Arriving at the Otjitongwe Cheetah Game Farm you will have the opportunity to interact with tame cheetah an ideal opportunity to get up close and personal. Dinner and overnight at the campsite or at a unique lodge.
After breakfast you will have the opportunity to visit Otjikandero Himba Orphan Village. Himba Children are the only children culturally exempt from school by the Namibian Government. We will depart for Etosha National Park, and enter through the Galton gate via special permit as the general public are restricted from this breeding area. So begin your game drives to feast your eyes on the world renowned spectacular wildlife. You could expect to see elephants, Black and white rhinoceros, lions, leopards, cheetah, large herds of springbok, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, and a multitude of other fascinating species, big and small, interacting in their natural environment. Camping or Lodging that night at one of the camps in the park. Floodlit waterholes make it ideal for animal viewing at night.
Today we will leave Etosha and pass through the towns of Grootfontein and Tsumeb on our way to the Wetlands region, to the riverside town of Rundu, found in the far northern part of Namibia on the Okavango Rive. This riverside town of Rundu, on the banks of the Okavango River, is situated in Kavango, the home of Namibia's well- known Kavango woodcarvers. This evening you will be lodging or camping on the river with the first opportunity to hear the African call of the Fish Eagle or the grunting of the hippopotamus as they float down the river.
After breakfast and a last look at Rundu we venture towards the Okavango Delta panhandle. Our journey today is shorter so that you have some time to lounge under a shady tree or you may swim in a floating pool in the Okavango River. The next day you will have the option of a game drive into the Mahango National Park or on a mokoro day trip, or a guided bird/village walks(Activities are for client's account). Dinner and overnight on the Banks of the Okavango River.
Today we drive deeper into the Caprivi Strip, pass through the Botswana border and on into the Chobe National Park. On reaching the bustling little town of Kasane you can catch a sun downer cruise on the Chobe River. The next day brings with it a game drive through Chobe National Park. Keep a watchful eye open for a few rare species of antelope found in this area, Chobe bushbuck, Puku, Oribi, and sharp’s grysbok. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite or Lodge on the Chobe River teaming with hippopotamus, crocodile and fish eagle.
After breakfast, we will proceed to the Botswana, Zimbabwe border. Soon after crossing the border we will come across the Zimbabwean town of Victoria Falls a major crossroad with plenty of activities. One of the first stops will be to view the mighty Zambezi, Mosi-oa-Tunya, Victoria Falls .For the following day you can treat yourself to one of many activities like bungee jumping off Victoria falls bridge, white water rafting down the mighty Zambezi River, elephant safari, canoeing the upper Zambezi River on a Photographic trip. At the end of each day you will retire to lodging or camping on the Zambezi River, where you can gaze over to the far banks of Zambia. If you need some pampering, the old historical Victoria Falls Hotel is a treat, serving a delicious afternoon tea.
We proceed to the next border crossing, over the Victoria Falls Bridge and into Zambia, arriving in Livingstone. If you haven’t seen enough of the falls this offers yet another unique view. This evening will be spent on the banks of the Zambezi River either lodging or camping, but this time gazing across at Zimbabwe.
After an early rise and shine we will drive through many villages through the country side of Zambia aiming for Lake Kariba. For the next 2 nights you may choose to stay on a house boat on Lake Kariba, or Camp or Lodge along side the Lake or on a little private Island. This may be your chance to do some fishing, or take a wilderness walk as crocodile, hippopotamus and buffalo flourish in these swelling waters.
Today we will depart for Livingstone and will head to a remote little Island on the Zambezi where we will take a mokoro ride to reach our destination. If you choose you may take a mokoro ride up or down the river to better view the hippopotamus for the last time. The perfect evening for your last night in Africa.
Today you will be transferred to the airport for departure.
