Guests will be picked up at the Hosea Kutako International airport and transferred to Okahandja were we will overnight at the Okahandja Lodge. Guest will do a short city tour of Windhoek before leaving for Okahandja. In Okahanja guest will have the opportunity to visit a local woodcarvers market. Dinner and overnight in Okahandja.
After breakfast we will drive north through the towns of Otjiwarongo and Outjo to the Etosha National Park. Our first night we will camp at Okaukujo were guest will have the opportunity to visit a permanent waterhole at night to see Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Giraffe, Oryx to name a few. Guide will prepare dinner over the open fire.
After an early morning breakfast we will break up camp and game drive to our next camp for the night Halali. On the way to Halali we will visit various waterholes arriving at Halali round about lunch time. After Lunch guest will have the opportunity to relax before we do another game drive in the afternoon. In the evening guest will have another opportunity to visit a waterhole at night to see Elephant, Rhino etc. Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we will break up camp and drive further east to Namutoni Camp were we will camp for the night. On the way we will visit various waterholes. After lunch and setup of camp we will do another game drive in the afternoon. After dinner guest will have the opportunity to visit the waterhole at the camp.
After an early morning breakfast we will break up camp and drive in a north westerly direction to exit the National Park at the Otjiwezando gate. Only Tour operators are permitted to use this gate and will take you into areas that is not permitted for normal guest. On the way we will visit various waterholes. We will have lunch just outside the gate before we proceed to Opuwo the administrative town of the Kunene region. We will camp at the Opuwo Country lodge. Guest will have the opportunity to visit various open market shops and see the local Herero and Himba tribal people in the streets. Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we will break up camp and drive in a south westerly direction to Sesfontein, on the way we will visit a local Himba village and guest will have the opportunity to interact with this nomadic tribe and learn about their culture. We will set up camp near warm quella at a local campsite. The drive will be scenic and we might be surprised by Desert Elephant on the way. Guest will also have the opportunity to visit the warmquella hot springs in the area.
After breakfast we will break up camp and drive in a south westerly direction to the Skeleton Coast Park via Palmwag the base of the Save the Rhino Fund. The drive will be scenic with the opportunity to see wild animals as Elephant, Oryx, Giraffe, and Springbok to name a few.
After breakfast we will break up camp and drive in a southerly direction through the Skeleton Coast Park to Swakopmund. We will visit old ship wreck s and old diamond and guano installations. Guests will also visit Cape Cross seal colony on the way. At some times of the year there can be more than 200000 seals in this area. Lunch will be en route. Arriving in Swakopmund late afternoon enroute. Your guide will help to make reservations for you at a popular local restaurant. Tonight accommodation will be in a bed and breakfast.
After breakfast guest will have the opportunity to partake in various activities that is on offer in Swakopmund from a Dolphin cruise, sand boarding, scenic flights, and township tours. (For the guest own account) or visit a local craft market. Swakopmund is a romantic little town on the Atlantic Ocean with lots of little restaurants and shops. Guide will help you make dinner reservations at a local restaurant. Overnight in a bed and breakfast.
After breakfast we will drive in a south westerly direction passing through the Kuiseb and Gaub canyons .The drive will be scenic and a another opportunity to see wildlife like Ostrice,Springbok. We will be crossing the Tropic of Capricorn before arriving at Solitaire at Lunch time. After lunch we will drive through the Naukluft Park to Sesriem at the entrance of the the highest dunes in the world. The Naukluft Park scenery is open grass plains with mountains on one side and the Namib Desert dunes on the other. Arriving at Sesriem campsite late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Today we will have a very early morning start to witness sunrise in the dessert from Dune 45 the most photographed dune in the world. After excellent photo opportunities we will drive to Sossusvlei were we will have a picnic breakfast under the old Acacia trees. After breakfast we will hike 2km to the spectacular Dead vlei with its white salt pan with 900 year old dead cam althorn trees surrounded by the red Namib Dunes. We will be back at the campsite just before lunch. After lunch guest will have the opportunity to relax before we visit the Sesriem Canyon just before sun set. Dinner and overnight at Sesriem campsite.
After breakfast we will break up camp and drive further south to Klein Aus vista en route to Luderitz and kolmanskop (Old diamond Ghost town). We will be driving through the Namib Naukluft Park to the far south arriving at our campsite late afternoon. Dinner and overnights. Today’s drive will be scenic.
After an early breakfast we will drive west to Luderitz a small fishing town (weather can be very windy and foggy) we will take a tour of Kolmanskop, the place were the first diamond were found in the early 1900’s. We will also visit the town of Luderitz. Arriving back at Klein Aus vista just before sunset. On our way back we will take a short detour to look for the wild horses of the Namib. Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we will break up camp and drive in an easterly direction to the Fish River Canyon to overnight at the Hobas campsite. Arriving about lunch time. After a short rest we will visit the second largest canyon in the world the Fish River Canyon. We will visit various lookout points and have sun downer drinks as the sun set. Dinner and overnight at Hobas campsite.
After breakfast we will break up camp and drive in a north easterly direction to the Kalahari Desert with its vegetation covered red dunes were Oryx and Springbok roam. We will arrive at Kalahari Anib Lodge late afternoon, lunch will be en-route. At the lodge guest will have the opportunity to do a game drive with the lodge on there property (for guest own account) Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast and packing we will head to Windhoek arriving late afternoon in time for your departure flight.
